born in Ratchaburi in 1969, obtained an MFA degree in sculpture from Silpakorn University, Thailand. Yin, born in Chiang Mai in 1968, obtained an MA degree in Metalwork from Royal College of Art, UK. Jiandyin have been interdisciplinary collaborative artists since 2002. Their works focus on creating situations that construct relationships between human, and human in relation to his/her social context. In 2010, they initiated an ongoing research and development project Dialogue: Seeing and Being,
an interactive performance based drawing project that invite the audience to participate by drawing portraits for them at public spaces in New York and San Francisco. It continued with several sub-projects in other countries for instance “We are Going to Taipei”, 2012, “We Are Going to Umbria”, Italy, 2013, etc., that included visiting participants' homes, documenting where they placed the portraits jiandyin drew for them and developing more collaborations. Jiandyin were awarded a fellowship grant from the Asian Cultural Council in 2009 and were artists in residence at Headlands Center for the Arts San Francisco, International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP) NY 2010, Treasure Hill Artist Village, Taipei, Taiwan 2012, Civitella Ranieri center, Umbria Italy, Lichtenberg Studios, Berlin, Germany 2013. Since 2011, they have been creating community platforms for contemporary art and cultural development in Ratchaburi province, Thailand and found NongpoKIDdee work group for community art projects for children/neighborhood in their hometown. In curatorial practices, they curated a Nongpo Short Film Festival #1 & 2, 2011-2013, co-curated ThaiTai: A Measure of Understanding, OCAC Bangkok project 2012-2013, and the METRO SAPIENS: Dialogue in the Cave 2013. They have exhibited internationally: REACTIVATION, 9th Shanghai Biennale; The Exotika 2013, Bangkok-Berlin; 14th Asiatopia International Performance Art Festival, Bangkok; 5th OK Video FLESH Indonesia International Video Festival, Jakarta. They currenly live and work in Ratchaburi, Thailand.
