Urich Lau is a visual artist, independent curator and art educator based in Singapore (born 1975). Working in video art, photography and printmaking, he has presented works in Singapore and various countries including Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, Serbia, Taiwan, Thailand, USA and Uzbekistan. Recent exhibitions include the Singapore Biennale 2013 , VII Tashkent International Biennale of Contemporary Art , and a finalist in the Sovereign Asian Art Prize 2013 - 2014 . He has curated and organized projects focusing on video art in Singapore, Indonesia, China and Germany. He holds a Master of Fine Art degree from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. He is a lecturer at LASALLE College of the Arts, a member of The Artists Village and served as its President from 2012 to 2014, and a resident-artist at the Goodman Arts Centre in Singapore.
